Get some sowing going!! Love it. ❤❤❤ Tuck!
How do you get your greens to grow so bog you don't fertilize carrots
You not addressing nutrition in the soil
Your never live though..
Great video's. Thanks for the information, second year growing, tips are appreciated.
Yep you got to get fall carrots for❤❤❤❤ TUCK❤❤❤❤
Wonderful video🌹🌹🌹🌹
Did you soak the beat seeds in vinegar or water?
Im in Michigan and have followed your food forest for awhile now. What you do is fantastic! Thank you for inspiring and encouraging us fellow gardeners, I've learned so much from you! And Tuck is of course a star as well as the guardian! Hugs from the middle of the Mitten!
James & Tuck, your videos are the first videos I watch every day. Thanks so much for all the amazing information! I am located i southeastern Pennsylvania so my weather is mostly the same as yours. I have taken your advice on many things (especially the netting and the shade cloth!) and it has helped my garden to thrive. Now I've got my list ready for the plants to start in August and the best way to get them started too! Keep up the great work! Thank you!
Half way through watching this I ran out to my garden tilled up a spot and sowed some carrots and radish. You better be right or I'll be pissed Jimmy 😊 great content from joisey
Insect netting for the win. I won't go without it again. Those moths were wrecking my crops for years
We live at 3500'. Our first frosts come in early September 🙄😑. Learned about covering with flannel sheets at night. Took my green beans into 2 more weeks of grow time by doing this trick last fall. Hubby had heart surgery this spring (no garden work) so trying my first fall garden this year. Interesting 🙃. Your little dog is adorable. My Border Collie, Patriot, is not allowed in the garden – little bull in a china cabinet scenario. She also raids my strawberry patch 😆. Thanks for all your wonderful shared "fall planting" knowledge. LOVE the board on the carrot patch tip!!! I cover tiny seeds with vermiculite – helps SEE where they are.
Намасте, James Prigioni. Я пока ещё на домашнем выращивании 🤫 😁. Тепличку на даче ещё не собрала, поэтому боюсь, что в грунте мои растения замёрзнут. Было холодно неделю назад.
It's so hot here in the midwest – I'm gonna have to invest in some shade cloth or just like last year the brassicas won't be able to make it.
In August? Are you speaking for Americans only? August is very differnt in different parts of the Globe. You are are global bloggers.
Thanks for helping me stay on track my first year. I've got some fall crops to think about! Big thank you
I tried I really did but working 60 hours a week and trying to garden at the same time is virtually impossible even with automated watering systems if you don't check everything religiously every day it's all going to go to crap between the bugs
and the mice and diseases caused by high humidity in the far south
I have great success starting my carrots in a plastic ice cream bucket. I put holes in the lid. Put the seeds down sprinkle with soil and water. Put the lid on and literally 3 days later I check them. Take the lid off and they have all sprouted. I've tried this method with many different varieties of carrots and it has never failed. I transplant them right away. I've never lost any during transplant.
Hope this is helpful to anyone struggling to grow carrots.
I learn a lot from you. Especially with starting from seed! Thank you. Maybe now I can grow beets!
James! Do you have any advice for what to do when everything is planted but you notice the chips need to be thicker? I need to add, but don't want to ruin the strawberries and I don't want the chips to go too high above the graft union of the trees. Help!
Its 107-110 Everyday for the foreseeable future in Texas, Do you think its too early to start our fall crops?
My 6 MONSTER Tomato plants have 3 tomatoes left now. Here in NW Louisiana, t1emps are around 100 everyday and 80 at night.
I WOULD replant those containers EXCEPT that the tomato plants are the main support for my Cucumber plants which are running at full throttle right now. Four containers of cucumbers, each sending at least 1 but usually fruits a day. The tomato plants are about 7 feet tall, the cucumbers are over 10 feet tall. All in a 10 foot x 6 foot space.
GO VERTICAL Y'ALL!!! BUT, get a light weight ladder.
Any suggestions James?
I'm so ready to get some sowing going. Your knowledge is amazing, I love your videos
Always have enjoyed your videos… did drop off watching when deer got through our veggie garden fence last year and ate all my seedlings I'd put out. My local source of seeds has scaled back on what varieties they have. Maybe I've missed it by looking some at your videos, but do you have recommended sources of seeds? Some of the varieties you mention I've not been seeing. (Though I have soooooooo much seed but some area getting older)
Great information and tips as usual James!
I love fall garden better, my summer crop mostly bolted or moles ate, got 90 in may so that hurt alot ..bit now my garden is floursing
I love your videos and the adorable dog Tuck. Something is eating my dragon kale. Would I use the clay spray or BT?
Im putting in my second crop of arugula here in PA in a few weeks for the cooler temps. Did very well in the spring
Yup, too dang hot! I agree. Here in mid Missouri we are in an extreme drought. Two years of it so far. So, we are too dang hot and too dang dry! But…hope spurs us on. Thanks, James!
Great James ! You are always an inspiration ! 🍅🥒🥬🫑🥦🫛🥕🧄 as i pick these pics , i don't remember you ever talking about corn 🌽 . Do you grow corn ? Did i miss it ? Thanks always for your shared knowledge . 😉
You and Tuck are my favorite gardeners. Such great info put together so nicely! I know you use a mix for your soil, including peat moss but I'm having issues with my 1/3 each, peat, manure and topsoil. It gets a hard crust and I have to break it up. Read an article against peat but can't find it now. Maybe it's the brand or mixture ratio? Any help or suggestions from y'all would be great!😊
