Thanks to this group, I was searching for a philly cheesesteak on here and saw the recommendations for Hoody’s Subs.

Great Philly! I finished it off and it took 6 napkins, that’s a great base indicator for a good philly lol

Thanks again, Group

Looks good, but I did not like their bread at all. Just soft with no texture or impact. Fillings were just very average quality.

Glad you and others enjoy it though, great to help small businesses.

Best in town, IMO. I love the flavor profile!

Love Hoody’s but hate those benches. So uncomfortable

Omfg I’ve been trying to remember what this place was called for YEARS. Used to grab a Philly after drivers ed classes across the street finished. Fuckin loved those things. Couldn’t recall the places name or the location but I recognized those benches in a heartbeat. I’ve been wanting to go back for a while now to get one. Thank you!

OP, you’re welcome. I’m glad you went. I’m also going to suggest Hoodys Pastrami sandwich. Personally, I like it with meat and cheese, plus mustard. Nothing else. I have a feeling you’ll like it too.

I grew up in Miami eating East coast style subs and Hoody’s is the taste of my youth. I love their sandwiches and always have to get extra peppers on everything. Love this place.

My favorite cheesesteak spot around. I’m practically a regular at this point. They unfortunately are closed on Sundays so usually Saturday for lunch is the only time I make the trip 2 towns north for a cheesesteak — but it’s worth it every time

R&B’s Steak and Fries on E 11th is the best and most authentic Philly in Austin
