Feels like this might be Austin’s longest lasting temporary closure of the Covid era?
Pretty sure the Thundercloud on Lavaca between 16th and 17th shut down in 2020. Equipment is still in there, they must be burning through rent money. Sign says “watch for our reopening” but there’s obviously no rush.

I’ve been holding my breath the last couple of years, but it hasn’t helped.
Jeez, I hope not.
Given the “quality” I’ve seen out of the store on West 12th st over the past year, hopefully not.
The sign has been changed once in the last three plus years. I thought the collective wishes of my coworkers was coming true when that happened, but this current sign has been there for a loooong time.
