Hello, my wife and I are wanting to open a BBQ food truck. Does anyone have any experience opening from scratch? Any ideas on where to find investors that would help with upfront costs? I have a business plan, with market research. I need capital to purchase the truck and inventory, willing to give percentage or take on debt so we can get this up and rolling. I have about 15 years experience smoking meats for private parties in bulk, wife has 15ish years in food service as GM for several restaurants and catering. Any and all help would be amazing!

Probably not the best sub for you, but if it works that is great.

In reality, I don’t think many people would want to “invest” in a truck/business they know nothing about and have 0 sales. You may be able to schmooze people over if your product is good and they can sample it, but how you reach these rich people Idk.

If you had any savings, you’d probably just go to private financers (bad interest rates) and take a loan out to purchase your truck.

Do you need investors to help you pay for enough salt and pepper?

    Where are the spices?
    Where is the flavor?

  3. start with Farmers markets and BBQ fairs, competitions, go from there
