Things like this don’t go bad the day after the “buy by” date. I’ve used things like pie crust, pastry shells, and tube biscuits many months post “best by” with no ill effects.

I’d call the manufacturer and ask them what the white dots are. I wouldn’t tell them it was expired though. Just hear what they have to say. Hi fun they.
