NYU students already know this, but among the 20+ halal trucks within a block of Union Square and NYU’s Palladium, Santa Halal is S-Tier. The chicken is chunky and spiced to perfection, veggies are super fresh and include crisp cucumbers, and the red sauce is has a smoky and flavorful kick. The only other cart that might have a claim to the throne other than Santa is…the closest one to it, [Farooks](https://www.instagram.com/p/CgsCv4cPV9K/?img_index=1). Which is better? For me it changes every time I have either, but would love to hear your thoughts. Full Reviews: [thehalalguysguy](https://www.instagram.com/thehalalguysguy/)
I agree this is best based on quantity, quality, service, location, and price! And they have a rewards program!

Thanks for these, always appreciate when they pop up

I love your account! I actually came here this week off your rec. I always knew the carts on this block were great but never had Santa Halal. Really really good cart!

I always go to Santa Halal. I’ve become good friends with the man running the truck and he always gives me a little extra, or a free soda, or something. He’s super nice and such a legend. When my parents came to the city I took them here and they loved it, and they can have very hard to please palates.

Damn I always go to Kazi Halal in that area and think it’s the best I’ve had. Have you had it? I’ll have to give this place a go. Those pita look wild.

Please try the chicken tikka over rice from Indian King Biriyani House in FiDi (it’s essentially just traditional halal chicken over rice but with slightly more indian leaning spices). It’s highly underrated since people rarely associate good halal food with FiDi. I’ve been to Farooks before and honestly think that this is considerably better.

Where is Santa Halal located?

Hell yeah. Will definitely try this spot on my way home this week

But how is it after 9pm because that’s the cutoff for most of these trucks with all the food absorbing the heat and flies alllll day long?

Is this new? Don’t remember this cart and I used to be outside Palladium a few times a day
