Got some Dan Dan Noodles and piping hot dumplings at Fat Dragon along with an update on their expansion.
Owner bought out the New Awlins Cafe space next door and already installed signage with hours posted for Fat Dragon Sushi Bar. They have a sushi chef on board, need to finish some work on the restaurant and put a staff in place. Plan is to open this fall.
There’s a lot of Asian food in this shopping center as is (Asia Cafe, Chen’s Noodle House, etc) but I think it’ll be the only sushi place on the block.

Chinese people make the best Sushi . Can’t wait.
Have they finally stopped serving out of styrofoam containers? I love that place but always hated the fucking styrofoam.
Now call me a purist and these both look delicious but that is very much not sushi.
Place is crazy expensive for no reason and they charge for fucking water. We’re in Texas and it’s hot as fuck out, I’m a paying customer and you’re gonna force me to buy a bottle of water? Fuck Fat Dragon. Chen’s Noodles in the same plaza is reasonable, delicious, and water is free, go there instead.
