I’ve had the Damn Hot from Hattie B’s a few times in the past few months and it’s become my go-to. Usually puts me close to my limit for spice and makes for a good meal when I want a bit more of a burn.
I thought I could handle the Shut the Cluck Up.
As others have said on this sub before, it’s seriously no joke. I don’t think it was quite one-chip-challenge hot but damn did it put some hurt on me. I don’t know if it’s been actually stated anywhere but I’ve heard that they use cayenne, habanero, and ghost pepper for the damn hot and STCU rubs. I would highly recommend either if you have the opportunity. I’m glad that I can say I’ve tried the hottest chicken they have to offer so that I can go back to my hot/damn hot mainstays and never have to eat STCU again.
For what it’s worth, I’ve never had a bad meal there and even the STCU managed to avoid being all heat, no flavor like some spicy foods are.

Can you taste the chicken?
Dang wish I had my pic on this phone from 2021 when I went and tried it.
Absolutely loved it. Felt like death for a bit but it was such a cool experience and met a lot of great people up there.
May update with it. Funny it was before I found this sub and when I posted in the local Nashville sub they basically called me trash. I tried to get to another place they mentioned but it was closed up.
Ended up meeting new people and partying way too hard.
