1. Castillo Burrito, Chivichanga and Bean and Cheese Burrito from Sonoratown

2. Karaage Thighs and Gizzards from Tenkatori on Sawtelle (with a life changing Yuzu Aioli)

3. Ah-Boong with cookies and cream soft serve, Nutella and biscoff crumbles from Somi Somi

4. Crispy Rice and Spicy Salmon from the Kura on Sawtelle (I know it’s a chain but it was my first conveyor belt sushi experience!)

5. Pistachio Baklava Soft Serve Pie from Magpies in Highland Park

6. Al Pastor Quesataco and the trompo at Angel’s right off Eagle Rock, I almost went to Leo’s across the street but I feel like Angel’s was the right choice!

7. Double Smashburgers and Cajun Fries from Easy Street Burgers in Studio City (the initial plan was Goldburger but we ended up closer to Easy Street and had a great time, but def want to get to Goldburger next time we’re in town)

8. Classic and Reliable Double Double, the perfect snack after a long Disneyland day

9. Pandan Tres Leches and Ube Malted Crunch split scoop from Wanderlust

10. Fried Chicken Thigh, Chicken Tikka Poutine and Chili Cheese Naan from Badmaash. Our Second time at Badmaash after our first time last October and despite me building up how good the chili cheese naan is in my head it was somehow even better??

11. Cardamom and Rose donut and fresh made chocolate cashew milk from Holey Grail. I know it’s a controversial spot cause of the size and price but the donut was the perfect size with how rich it was and the milk was absolutely amazing imo!

12. Breakfast Wrap from Fatty Mart with Taiwanese Sausage, Cucumber, Egg, Cheese and Spicy Mayo wrapped in a Scallion Pancake

13. Coconut Strudel and Spicy Pepper and Cheese Potato Ball from Porto’s

14. Chilaquiles Breakfast Burrito with fresh Carnitas from Los Dos Chingones (I was too excited and only took a picture on my Instagram story instead of my main camera so this is the only picture that saved)

your description of the naan at badmaash is exactly how I feel about their poutine. every time I go it’s better than I remember it being and I remember it being great.

    great writeup!

That east street burger looks so good 🤤

  3. monotekdm

Los Chingones is so damn good. I had both versions and prefer the plate but a dank burrito indeed!

  4. looks like an excellent week of eating

    great choices all round

  5. I live close to the Angel’s in Angeleno Heights. Their Al Pastor might be favorite burrito of all time

  6. What’s the one between Angel’s Tacos and In N Out?

  7. thisusernametakentoo

Out of curiosity, how much do you exercise? I’d love to eat all that but I’m afraid of the consequences.

I had no idea chilaquiles breakfast burrito was a thing. I def need to try that!

  10. Are chips from Sonoratown a new thing? I’ve been going for years (DTLA) and haven’t seen them!

  11. Love your Badmaash order, all good stuff – I usually get the catfish instead of the chicken. Will have to try that breakfast burrito!!

  12. RowdyRoddyPipeSmoker

which were the best? which items were must tries or things you’d tell someone else they had to go get? what was your favorite?

Oh my God I’m over Portos. They have my respect but if I have to eat one more potato ball or guayaba pastry at work I’m gonna go sit in my car.

LA is “the” food mecca. Damn, I’m jealous!

  23. moma2boys

Sonoratown was my home away from home while living there lol

  24. nicearthur32

Can we sticky this post in the Los Angeles sub?

This is so LA- I’m kinda jealous I didn’t think of doing this in a week…

  25. ApprehensiveEnd4438

That Carnitas Dos Chingones is not a breakfast burrito. It’s a breakfast, lunch, and dinner straight to good night burrito

  26. macchinas

LA is such a good food city for casual food like this. Id gain so much weight there 😁

  27. hughgottawantit

I’m so fat that I can name every place you visited just by looking at the picture

  28. LA native here. I have traveled extensively, including over 25 countries and all over the US. LA is the best food city, period. Yes, you can get better Italian food in Italy, but everything else is not even in the same universe. NY’ers get offended, but they are wrong, so fuck’em 😀
