Story Time. . .
So a few years back we all went to my uncles and he was grilling some burgers, well he sprays the burgers and grill grates with cooking spray and proceeds to cook the burgers and toast the buns. We all get our burgers and fixings and a few of us look around and someone says that the burgers taste funny and we eventually eliminate everything except the cooking spray. . . We look at the cooking spray can and it wasn’t cooking spray it was grill cleaner. . . He had sprayed the burgers and grill with grill cleaner. . . Needless to say we called poison control and we ended up waiting and seeing and luckily nobody had any issues; but he is no longer allowed to grill

Gross. Would’ve never had that problem if you didn’t use cooking spray. I just put a dab of cooking oil on a paper towel and hit the grates with that, if needed.
