Right as I was putting the literal finishing touch on the pie I cut myself on a cookie cutter and only noticed once I had bled on my beautiful pie.
I wiped it off but did not feel comfortable serving it to others. After sobbing in the kitchen while my husband got me a bandaid I did put the pie in the oven. We bought an ice cream cake to serve everyone.
On the bright side, I get to have all this pie to myself now 🤷♀️
