Kind of hard to get a decent photo of it but I made a stew with frozen beef, swede, potato, onion, chucked in 2 pots of cornish pasty veg/beef that I needed to use up, lid went on at 10:28 and I stirred every now and again exactly the same as usual. 15:42 I decided to chuck some diced chicken thighs in because I remembered they needed using up. After about 1.5 hours I’ve noticed it looks almost curdled where the solids have split from the liquids and settled 🙁 My gravy granules will go in later at about 6ish so it doesnt over thicken but is there anything that will fix this? Anyone know why it even happened? I’ve never had it go badly before

It looks like oil/fat from the meat is floating to the top. Soups will do that when cooled. Is your crockpot able to be turned up higher or did you put in cold/frozen items?
Skim the excess fat/grease with a spoon. It’ll taste great anyway with those ingredients. I wouldn’t worry too much. Gravy granules will help tie it all together. I sometimes use the skimmed fat (depending on the meat) to flavour mash.
