Welcome to our little Zone 5 homestead!

My name is Ciearra and I love to grow plants. My mission is to be able to grow and give away food and plants. As we learn more our homestead expands from more garden beds, raised beds to now chickens. Raising chickens has always been a hope of mine and now I actually live in an area where I can have them!     I love pickled beets ! My mom used to can a bunch of them every year. My husband hates beets , he says they taste like dirt. 😢🌺💚🙃

    Your composting bed with the worms. Are the worms going to be able to overwinter in the bed, or are you going to have to move them to a warmer location? 🌺💚🙃

    I loved, love my children but it was ALWAYS a relief for me when they started back to school. No more constant questions or breaking up a squabble or trying to find something for them to do because they were bored. Life was just a little less stressful. Hand in there ! 🌺💚🙃

    Cierra thanks for the motivation to ramp up sowing my fall garden! This video was so pleasant and informative. I too grew up on greens of all types and they are so filling and delicious. I loved hearing your chickens in the background wanting attention. They can be so spoiled 😅😅
