Brand new bag of Traeger Gourmet Blend pellets from Costco looks way darker than the old batch…
Safe to use? About to start a brisket and don’t want to f it up. Old pellets on top for comparison.

The lower pellets look pretty dark to me too. Are they damp? Do they break apart easier?
Never seen them so dark, maybe the cherry wood is dominant in this batch?

Thats how my costco blend looks. It seems to work just fine. Im on my second bag of it.

They definitely look different, but they look like a different blend i have. My guess is that the “Gourmet” blend is just a mix of whatever is left over.
