I went to try Asados Taqueria! They were closed for 3 years and the owner used to have a shop inside of springdale. They have since reopened doing cali mex and mission style burritos! I got the steak burrito super style for 14 and asked for it to be crispy. and the quesadilla with carnitas for 10. I ate one of the quesadilla pieces in the photo but it comes with 4! Man it was so delicious, I think this is the best cali mex i’ve had in Austin ever. Menu is attached at the very end !

Where are they located at?
1309 W 45th street. It’s really close to burnet rd. Next to Kuway Banh mi.
Tues-sat 11-9 pm are their hours from IG.
OMG, OP is great with pictures and even prices (lol!).
I’ve been looking for a proper cali mex burrito. I’m so gonna try this, thank you. Quesadillas look divine too btw.
That looks good. I hope maybe someday..one day…they add french fries to the menu so we can have more than just one place to get a proper California burrito round here.
Thats how a taco and burrito should be priced. Not that Nixta overpriced hipster shit lol
If you are ever in San Francisco and want to try a Mission burrito, here is an old guide. Many of the spots still there.

how was that quesadilla tho?
I had it today and it was amazing!
Looks delicious and the prices are great
Just had it last night- it was awesome, thanks for the rec!
The crisp tortilla was such a highlight and the owner was super seeet. Slightly sad it replaced a chai truck I really liked (tbh they were barely ever open anyways), but glad the food here is excellent.
I was stoked at the thought of an $8 burrito
Understandable when it turned into $11
Disappointed when it went to $14
heading there now
This place is great. Picked up a couple of burritos earlier. Super friendly owners, great salsa, will return. Thanks for posting.
I am waiting in line for the quesadilla and burrito. I was hoping he dipped it in fat and grill it but not yet.
Opens at 11 but it takes a good 45 minutes to get the first order out. Not a good idea to show up at 11 people.
30 minutes in. I ordered chips and guac.
Excited.
OP, just got this for lunch. It took 30 minutes to get 1 quesadilla and 1 burrito, but they are amazing. One of the best around.
This may sound negative, but I mean it in the most positive way. It tastes as if Taco Bell used fresh, quality ingredients.
