Across the street from Uptown Sports Club on East 6th is a new boutique hotel and food/drink/entertainment complex called Inn Cahoots. Cute name, I’ve been a couple times since their grand open a month ago. Kind of a one stop shop for food truck fare, cocktails and live music spread across several indoor and outdoor spaces.
They opened with a couple food trucks already known in Austin including the third location for Gobble Gobble turkey burgers. Got the standard turkey burger and potato rounds, prices are about $3 more per item than what’s listed on their website so the burger and fries basket was $20 after tax & a small tip.
I appreciate the healthier option of turkey burgers but I also felt some FOMO seeing the huge burritos and nacho plates from the La Taquicardia truck. There are lots of walk up bars with cocktails for about $10. You can also order mobile from the picnic tables and servers will run drinks over.
I like the Bar Mischief cocktail lounge, it’s an upscale bar, bartenders are super friendly, the bar is inside closer to hotel check in. There’s a rooftop speakeasy called IYKYK, you access from a side street door by the curb, and another inside bar and lounge called The Studio.
It been a pretty fun, lively crowd the evenings I’ve dropped in. Not super busy, seems like a lot of a younger locals popping in to check it out as they bar hop.
