if I just get some baking powder I can make this. I don't like to get baking powder because it gets hard it's one of those things that I only really get to use once or twice and then the rest is wasted
%1000 recommend. I just made them, and I followed the recipe exactly as it is on the blog. My cupcake sheet fits less cupcakes at a time, so I had to bake them for slightly less time. Overall, it was pretty simple and easy.
I love that they bake up nice and tall…im dying to find a basic recipe to achieve this effect and modify it to make orange muffins…orange zest, orange extract. Any tips on how to achieve my dream orange muffins? Thank you for an awesome recipe 😎
Something must have changed, because the link you give does not contain the word "blueberry" or the word "muffin", so it doesn't give the recipe amounts. I would like to make these, but without the exact amounts, I can't. Help!
Why… Why… 😭 I have every ingredient but sour cream. It's the secret ingredient to practically every great recipe. I'm gonna have nightmares not being able to make these.
Very irritating watching the BEAT UP without knowing of the content / amount of respective ingrediences…C'MON JOHN get REAL ….or do you wish this FAST FOOD mentality ? maybe ,..it should be called McFood McWISHES
Back in my college days a friend and I would go out and play pool for money on weekends. We would always end up going back to this diner where I would get a blueberry muffin cut in half and toasted on the grill with butter. My God they were good. It's like 5 am now, by tonight I will have the blueberries and sour cream
I just made this recipe and when I mixed all fresh ingredients the wet batter looked curd, not smooth, more like lumpy, even though I mixed the batter and sugar well enough until it was light and fluffy. I added the eggs and the vegetable oil and the batter looked nice and smooth. Once I added the milk and sour cream and gave it a light mix that's when the batter started looking lumpy. I continued adding the dry ingredients and the blueberries and put it in the oven and the tops cooked flat. What did I do wrong? I followed the recipe to a T. Any help would be great because although the muffins didn’t look pretty when they came out of the oven, they tasted really good, and I would like to perfect this.
I always wonder why people say the recipe is GREAT! Then go on to say I changed this ingredient, and I changed this amount, and I substituted this or that and adjusted that and this and then go in to tell me the recipe is great… That would be helpful if you made them your way AND the recipe way and then tell me your opinion

I made these today and they were so good they are light, not to sweet.
That looks super good. Dang!
where are the measurements for the recipe? I would love to make this. They look so good.
this is not a muffin recipe, its more of cupcake recipe without frosting. muffin doesn't need this much of bitting or fat content

Can we use something else for the sugar?
Thank you. I like that you don't, apparently, try to hide your failures or missteps along the way so we all can learn from them.

Did he just say he didn't have lemon zest??? John, did you use store bought lemon juice?!
Check your security certificate Chef John.
I can’t see recipe for this one🤔
I thought one normally used oil in muffin recipes instead of plastic fat.
Can you swap some flour for rolled oats?
Can we use canned blueberries ?
I tried to look up the recipe on your recie but it keeps giving me a privacy error! What's going on?
Who came here to find out how to put an equal amount of blueberry in each muffin?

Can I add some other ingredient in place of eggs

Thank you, Chef John! We are now testing the fresh made ones (cooled down). They are lovely! Used small blueberries (bilberries?) 😊
Quarantined with a bunch of dried blueberries, like raisins. Gonna give this a go, soaking them first in hot water.
We’re are the measurements
I made these and used buttermilk instead of milk. Batter smelled and looked so good that I wanted to eat it raw 🤤

What I'd like to see is just a plain bran muffin!
I've been using this recipe for blueberry muffins for at least 8 years now – I'll never use another one , ever! 😍🤗
Ah, a fine vintage Chef John 2010 has appeared on my feed. sniffs cork
