Turkish rice pudding Sutlaç is one of the most popular Milky Turkish desserts served in Turkish restaurants. There is a similar dessert called Umm Ali in Arabic countries. 1+1/2 cups water
1 liter whole milk + 1 cup more depend on the consistency

rice puddıng is such a common dessert, why anybody would want to eat a restaurant version is beyond me
Can I substitute the cornstarch with flour?
how many days can I keep it in the fridge?
Very delicious thank you I will try tomorrow
Please i need mhalabya Turkish receipt .
Thank you
My sütlaç rose in the oven then overflowed/spilled out of the ceramic bowl into the water. Does this ever happen?
Yes, rice pudding can be found anywhere in the world.. i guess its a common thing to find..
Looks delicious and simple to make 😋
I tried this recipe and it came out so good !! I added some cinnamon sugar on top and used the grill + fan setting on my oven to caramelise it. Thanks so much for this recipe !!
We called kheerni in Pakistan 😊
I am planning to make this tomorrow! Wish me luck! Thank you for the recipe 🥰❤️
I loved sutlac in Turkey! Thanks for the recipe
Salamu aleykum. Thank you so much for this receipt. I have cooked it today and it is amazing. I enjoyed your video, everything is so clear. I wish you and your family all the best.
By any chance do you know how to make it taste like the one I get from Emirgan Sutis?
Clear nice explanation tnx❤
Hello darling I want to ask about the oven step .. is it just open from up or up and down??
Me and my mother made this it turned out very good but instead of rice we used bulghur (Turkish rice) and we also added a bit of condensed milk
I am based in London and have tried Sutlac once from a Turkish restaurant that had orange peel inside the sutlac which as so delicious. Some recipes add rosewater which some wouldn't prefer
Thank you 🫶🏻
Buona sera cara ti chiedevo una cortesia volevo fare il budino di riso gentilmente puoi mettere le dosi in grammi? E' piu' comodo secondo me…ringraziandoti ti auguro una buona serata.Ciao Gaby❣
I am German but as a child my mother always took me to a turkish cafeteria when we visited my dad at work. I allways had Pide and sutlac. It was and still is my favorite food- no schnitzel for me haha. We moved away and i have been desperately looking for recipes. This tastes exactly like the one i know…perhaps a little less sugar. The pide recipe is more difficult, but i had a huge success with a dough with baking powder instead of yeast. So yah for me it is the small homecook channels who often make the most authentic food, especially if you are looking for something international.
Very good , I'm going to try and make the rice pudding
Thanks
it taste great, same as Persian dessert called rice pudding and Firini, you can watch it in my channel
Better recipe with no much sugar and not corn flour
1/4 cup rice short grain
Boil for 5 minute no wash
Bring to near boil 300ML milk
Drop of Vanilla extract, add 3tbs sugar ,
Add rice and stir for 35 minute continue stir
Once cooked top with cinnamon or nutmeg
You can add if like one egg yolk
And butter at the end when rice is cooked put in fridge
If want more double or triple the dose
I don’t use egg or butter are optional
Easy I make everyday serve with fruit 🍓🫐
Try
Thank you so much for this! I tried it in Istanbul and I am obsessed!
