Leave them in the dishwasher. It’s air tight and will help keep them moist for tomorrow.

Cover on the counter then before you serve them, reheat them in the oven for a couple minutes so they have that fresh baked warmth again

I wouldn’t cover them with a paper towel! Personally, plastic wrap is your best bet. You can throw a piece of sandwich bread in there (even the heal) and that will help ensure moisture! Paper towels don’t seal, so they don’t keep things very moist
