For context: I’m from MA and this is a staple Chinese-American dish. I’ve been craving these for so long. I recently found out they’re more so regional to New England-if anyone has a lead where I could find these or knows if they are called something else please let me know!!

That looks like the sweet and sour chicken you get at neighborhood Chinese spots. Have never heard of it called chicken fingers but have eaten this countless times as sweet and sour chicken- sauce is always on the side. It is ubiquitous in South Brooklyn and I would assume the rest of the city.

Lots of Chinese American places will have these. It’ll probably vary by place, but I think they usually go by chicken tenders.

As mentioned, they’re essentially the same battered chicken used in popular dishes like honey chicken, sweet and sour, etc. Just no sauce

Also iirc the honey battered chicken fingers at Aldi are similar. Just add seasons and sauces for dipping

I’ve seen some places have them listed as “Golden Fingers.”

Pretty much any takeout American-Chinese place will have them. In my experience, most places default to sauce on the side when you order sweet and sour chicken anyway.

Worst case – show them the photo. They’ll know

Fellow former New Englander here. I’ve been on this journey. They’re sweet and sour chicken; just ask for the sauce on the side.

Like literally every single Chinese takeout place in the entire city has them

The things I miss are New England Chinese chicken fingers and real crab Rangoon, you know the fake yellow ones with cream cheese. Also poo poo platters. They were routine part of take out. Not since coming to NY

That’s that sweet and sour chicken without the sweet and sour sauce
