  1. I love the fact that these videos are still being suggested long after she passed RIP you will live on in the minds of people for many years to come

  2. I love watching your videos. Everything you do is done with so much care and gentleness. Amazing job as always.

  3. I’ve been Watching Clara’s videos since the very beginning. I’m a 64 year old guy and these videos got me and my family through the very dark years from March 2020 to 2022. She helped many people get through the pandemic.

  4. I know how it feels to not have the proper equipment. I once had to use a watermelon as a wife because I couldn't afford the real thing. I used a knife too, to carve the right shape.

  5. This is so sweet! My mom died at 96 1/2 years of age in 2019. She loved baked apples. This reminds me so so much of her! My grandmother’s named was Clara! Glad thatI stumbled upon this video in 2023.

  6. A really nice variation on this is to use Christmas mincemeat for the filling. Mincemeat is sold in Britain, it's a mixture of dried fruits – mostly raisins and sultanas with some candied peel – in a little syrup so the fruit become moist and plump, some suet and a little alcohol, usually brandy, plus spices. It's sweet but zesty. We have it in mince pies but often there is a lot of overstock sold in supermarkets after Chrismas for a few pennies a jar. It keeps on the shelf for years, so I usually buy up three or four jars. Sadly, you don;t really have mincemeat in America but you can easily make it. And yes, at one time, it really did include actual meat (usually beef). It was a way of using up and preserving leftover roast meats.

  7. Miss you. Still years later enjoy these. Just wish you had more time. Because i enjoy hearing your recipes 😁

  8. Clara is looking down from heaven at all of us who keep tapping onto her videos and making her recipes! 😊💖💖💖🥣🍴🥄

  9. I’m 71 years old. My mother used to tell me that when she was a kid she used to get an orange in her Christmas stocking and it was a big treat. I think too many of us might be spoiled with all the things that we have and all the things that we want. 😊❤
