  1. Not gonna waste my time cooking this when I can just buy canned one…it tastes the same…less work

  2. Today, I went to the Oyster Festival on Long Island. They charged $10.00 for a pint of chowder. With this recipe, I won’t be going there anymore.

  3. It's amazing how people think celery and carrots belong in clam chowder. They do not. This recipe is too bland. Needs garlic, salt, pepper 2 Bay leaves and leeks instead of celery.

  4. Just made this today! Damn!! is all I gotta say. Best clam chowder recipe I’ve tried yet

  5. This is a good recipe I made it last night. I had to add more cream because it was too thick so adjust according to thickness you prefer. I cooked 4 pieces of bacon and cooked my veggies in the grease and then added the clam juice like the video says. Also crumbled bacon in chowder. As far as the red wine vinegar I didn’t notice the flavor in the chowder so it’s hard to tell if it made a difference. I would use this again.

  6. Yum! The only thing I would do differently (just because it's me) is to fry up about 3 strips worth of cut-up bacon. I would then sautee the onions and celery with the bacon and some olive oil. Carrots; why not? The red wine vinegar touch sounds delightful. I didn't experience clam chowder until I went to college and it was served occasionally in the dorm cafeteria. Loved it! Stayed in Seattle for 5 days on business a number of years ago, and the hotel I stayed in had great clam chowder in their restaurant. I had a bowl of chowder with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Did I mention I love clam chowder? Will give this recipe a try. Thanks for the video!

  7. Thank you for this recipe! I made it tonight & it came out perfectly delicious even without the
Red Wine Vinegar. Your recipe was very easy to follow. Excellent! Thank you again.
    Sincerely, Nurse BJ 🌸🥰💉

  8. No carrots, no water, no milk, no salt. If you need to add water, you don;t have enough clam juice. I would add chicken stock before I'd add water. Seasoning…Cajun and Old Bay…and more clams…chopped and whole baby clams added last and not overcooked to the texture of a truck tire….and cream rather than milk.
