5 cloves of garlic (minced)
2 tbsp butter
1-2 cups fresh basil leaves (roughly chopped)
3 cups chicken or vegetable stock

Blend the tomatoes first, then add to pot!!!
Why haven't you cut out the part of the tomato that is connected to the vine, and that goes into the soup, yuk, and remove the skin before cooking yuk.
