Purchased an old Lil Tex from FB Marketplace for $40. Been wanting an extra smoker for awhile now. Grinded off all the rust. Sprayed some rust desolver on trouble spots. Sprayed some rust reformer for added protection and to act as a primer. Finished off with high heat max paint (black) and engine enamel (purple – Vikings fan don’t hate me). Replaced the hot pot, auger motor, draft inducer fan, hot rod and rtd probe. Didn’t need to but just wanted allnod them new to prevent future issues. Really happy with how everything turned out. I think this might turn into a hobby or mine. Had a lot of fun doing it.
