Stuffed grape leaves, also known as Sarma, is a classic Turkish food that is loved by all Turks. It is usually made with grape leaves in brine (aka vine leaves). There are two ways to prepare the traditional Turkish stuffed grape leaves. If you like to add minced meat to the mixture, this version of Sarma is served hot. If you prefer the vegetarian Sarma, this version is served cold and made with olive oil.

When preparing Sarma, mix all the ingredients and make sure to place them in the middle of the leaves so that you can wrap the whole thing as tight as possible. The smaller the wraps, the more talented you are according to Turkish moms! Don’t forget to add a dash of lemon juice on top and enjoy!
