I found some flash frozen sardines at HEB and decided to grill them Greek Style. I gutted them and then washed them. I then put some salt, oregano, and olive oil on them. I placed them into a fish grilling rack and grilled them for 10 minutes each side over a 350 degree WSM 14.5 (Weber Smokey Mountain)… I drizzled some fresh Mexican Lemon juice on them as they grilled too.. The meat fell off da bone and had a real nice flavor…

put the remote in rice for a day…uncooked rice lol
I like what you put on the sardines. Sounds deelish even though I don't like sardines. My parents are Italian but make them similar. Lol at you washing your remote. I've done that with my car remote.
Look good enough for breakfast. Eat the bones, it's where all the vitamins are!:)
Wow Sapo, these look really amazing. Where did you find these? And are the just simply called sardines or is there another name for them? I'd really like to try these!! They remind me of ballyhoo that we use for bait!! LOL
That looked delicious
Hehe some BBQ notes. http://t.co/yiWzkpKLDG
I did something simular a couple years back and they were delishious!Only issue I had was the bones, perhaps i didnt use high enough heat.
I use those sardines for fishing bait never tried to eat one interesting
GREAT VIDEO, GREAT INSTRUCTIONS. BUT JUST ONE THING. DO NOT EVER USE CANOLA OIL. CANOLA OIL CONTAINS ERUCIC ACID. THE WORST THING FOR THE HEART AND ARTERIES – WORST THAN MARGARINE. I Cr 13:8a, Love never fails !
The best on charcoal grill.. Hardwood lump if you can
Dude, use some extra virgin greek olive oil from Crete next time, you will taste the difference! : )
Thanks for this. I’ve been seeing them flash frozen at my grocery store (Toronto) and been curious to try them. Will grab some today. They looked delicious as you’ve done them. I’ll dream I’m at a beach side restaurant on the Mediterranean!
Frozen??
Nice recipe. It looks like sardines from Andalusia a bit. They also do it on open fire. 😋
