– Winery founded by the renowned Lynn Penner-Ash (of Penner-Ash fame, also previously at Stag’s Leap, Alexana, and others) – I’ll be the first to admit I am a sucker for a good Oregon Pinot and love many producers, but this one is something special. And 2016 is one of the best vintages in existence in the Willamette (along with ‘12 & ‘19) – The first thing that draws you in, and right after popping the cork, is the hauntingly seductive bouquet of red fruit, raspberry, rhubarb, dried cranberry and rose. Classic PN translucence. The first thing you think when you swish this around in your mouth is Damn. – Incredibly noticeable silky mouthfeel. Acid, tannins, fruit, alcohol all in harmony. Palate follows the nose showing clear, integrated but precise red fruit and floral notes

Dusky Goose wines are all good. The chardonnay is one of the best Ive ever had
Am I the only one that can’t get into the OR/WA wines? I find most of them very poorly structured, but that could be the selection available where I live (though nothing I tried when I was out there recently was good, either, and I love PN.) Give me suggestions to change my mind.

I’m a sucker for Oregon Pinots as well. I’m going to have to give that one a try.
