I am pretty sure my tomatoes had thrips before but would they do this?

I am also curious, never have I ever seen that before

In all my 35 years of growing tomatoes, I have NEVER seen this before. Nothing that even warrants an “it sort of looks like…” comment. I’m going to sit back and wait for an actual expert.

The only thing I observe when zooming in is the tiny stalks with the pods on the end in the weird areas. That would be consistent with some kind of fungus, but that’s a complete shot in the dark, honestly, and is merely an observation, not a diagnosis.

Looks like maybe a fungus? Any chance for a closer photo? I’ve never seen this!

Wow I’ve never seen anything like this. I’m sorry I have no idea

    This is a weird one.
Can you get us an up close photo of the leaves?

Are those actual dead tomatoes or dead flowers?
Also I don’t see thrip damage

Tomatoes are incredibly sensitive to pathogens. They shouldnt be planted next to each other or other nightshade species such as eggplant and peppers. They should also never be grown in the same spot as the previous seasons either
