Pickled daikon. Recipe below or can be purchased at most asian grocery stores
Pickled radish called danmuji. It’s made from Korean radish (mu ) but can be made with daikon. It’s colored to make it yellow Can also find it cubes in white.

I have this at home constantly (dad’s Korean) – I always put it in a mixture of vinegar and sugar.

OP next time try to find a place that has jajangmyeon and eat it with that. If you can’t find it, try to [make it](https://www.maangchi.com/recipe/jjajangmyeon). It goes really well with that.

I’ve always called it Takwan. But yes, as others have said it’s pickled radish. A nice balance of sour and sweet that pairs well with kimchi. My favorite way to eat it is with rice and seaweed
Edit: My phone changed Takwan to Taiwan
