Very cool that we can experience Korean cafe culture right at home in LA. Harucake specializes in cream cakes, which are so light and fluffy they melt in your mouth. The business was founded in 2019, but they just recently opened their first cafe. It has been a great success, with long lines every day.
I arrived 45 minutes before opening, and waited a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Was it worth it? 1000% yes. I got the Soosoo Latte (corn!!!) which was delicious, unique, and not overly sweet. For cake slices, I opted for the Green Grape Yogurt, Strawberry Milk Cream, and Mugwort Injeolmi. All three were excellent in their own right, but I was captivated by the injeolmi streusel atop the subtly herbal mugwort cake. 10/10.
