These mfs did not miss. Best gumbo I’ve found in Austin since I moved here in 2006. They use both okra AND filé to thicken, but I didn’t find any okra pieces in the bowl I had. Crawfish etouffe was very Lake Charles, but I can forgive it. Loved the boudin balls, which were like what you get at Best Stop, but with better ingredients. These are not your Popingo’s boudin balls.

If I had to pick a region, I’d say this was overall more like Lafayette and Bayou Teche type Cajun. Drinks were good and strong. Try the Sidecar or Sazerac.

Food is good, space is cool, it’s casual, and the staff is always super friendly.
