Hello! My girlfriend and I have been helping her Dad clear some stuff out of his house recently and came across a few bottles of wine that have been stored for quite a few years. He had forgotten about them, and I believe they actually belonged to his father.
In any case, I image most of them are no good anymore due to some of what is likely seepage and by the levels, but I am no expert by any means.
Even if they are trash now, it’s still very interesting. I’m sure they would have been worth a pretty penny if they were in better shape.

Good god. That Latour 59, had it been stored properly, it’s a $3k bottle. The 66 Lafite not as good a year but still would have collected a pretty penny.
It’s worth it to pull the corks and see what shakes out. Those bottles have no resale value based on the ullage levels and they certainly have not been stored properly. Let us know how they taste!
I’ve a few bottles of the Lafite from ‘48 and I’ve popped one with similar levels to this.. it was actually tremendous so you may be lucky here. If I saw these at auction I’d certainly expect them to sell albeit it would be a punt by the buyer so prob no more than a couple of hundred
