Hello everyone. My pressure gauge is always stuck on 5 psi when the lid is even off the pressure canner, and I ran a test to see if the indicator would go up while building pressure, but steam was shooting out near the base of the pressure gauge reader. I have a 23 quart presto pressure canner, does anyone possibly know what may be wrong? This canner has worked fine before in the past.

Either the gauge is broken or there’s buildup under it where it goes through the lid.
