
I made apple butter for the first time today following these directions https://sugarspunrun.com/apple-butter/
I just finished cooking it and I put it in 3 mason jars to be refrigerated overnight until I can have my grandma can them after I get off work tomorrow. After looking online I’m not sure if that recipe for apple butter is safe for canning, or if I need to reheat it before canning it tomorrow or if it would just be better to freeze it? I’ve never canned anything and I’m confused and don’t want to give my friends botulism as I’m using two cans for gifts hahah. Thank you!

This isn’t a tested recipe so I would recommend you freeze it. In the future be wary of recipes on blogs. You never know what they are basing it on. This sub has a bunch of links to safe resources in the wiki (and I think it’s a stickied post) for your reference in the future!
