Balsamic steak sandwich with flank steak, Roma tomatoes, and red onion. On a homemade not-quite focaccia bread

Also when did flank steak get so expensive? I spent 45 dollars on two flank steaks at Costco. I used one for this and froze the other one for fajitas later on, and the one steak made four sandwiches with a bit of leftover. Still seems like an incredible cost. Also the bread was from a Detroit pan pizza dough recipe, it didn’t quite air up like I wanted but it was still a great bread.
