brambleberry crisp, lemon bar, green mint chip

i find jeni’s unrivaled, to be honest; although their newer flavors tend to be more basic than they used to be—predictably as a result of them expanding nationwide over the years—they’re still legit, and brambleberry crisp will always be the goat.

  1. Jeni’s is super tasty. I wish they would do something without lactose in it for those of us with…issues…

Totally with you! Now if we could just get a Graeter’s!

First had Jenni’s in Nashville in 2012. Think it was their first non-Ohio location. So awesome to see how they’ve blown up.

    Jenni’s for life.

One of the few national chains that is high in quality – it amazes me how good the stores are

  5. The lemon bar is sooo good. Worth 9 bucks a pint at CM or whatever price they’re charging now.

What about the Handels up north? I’ve never been but Handels was my first job in Youngstown about 20 years back.

And yet no gooey butter cake. What gives?!?!

  8. People blaming Californians for the unaffordability of Austin and this brave Ohioan out here stumping for $10 mediocre ice cream pints 😉

  9. I still remember going to Jeni’s in Columbus for the first time back in the mid-2000’s. Had an ice cream with lime, cardamom and lingonberries if I remember correctly. They also had a Riesling-poached pear sorbet. So good.

For all their growth, they still make some great ice cream. And I have yet to find a new flavor that wasn’t at least passable.

Never heard of this place. Love ice cream. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks

Native Ohioan who moved to Texas before Jeni’s was a major player in OH ice cream: Jeni’s is delicious but man, what I wouldn’t do for a consistent pipeline to Graeter’s. H‑E‑B carried a few flavors for maybe 3 months and those were salad days, let me tell ya

On a separate note is there any way we can create a Midwestern translate sub

I just came in from being outside for awhile and that looks sooooo good. Those flavors are right up my alley.

Didn’t know Jeni’s started in Ohio. As a native Hoosier, neat! That brambleberry crisp is the shit. Closest thing I can get to wild black raspberry pie when I’m not in the Midwest in July.

Username checks out. See you at the crossroads.

Why would anyone admit to being from Ohio

  17. There ice cream melts to quickly and is to sweet for me. I am still an Amy’s fan. Also the salty ice creams are to salty for me there.

  18. jonesy18yoa

    It’s good but it’s not $8.50 a pint good.

As a native Ohioan, I grew up in the town that made Velvet, I still miss that ice cream but Jeni’s is good stuff.

Yes! I love Jeni’s! I lived in Cbus back in 2012-2014 when it was only in Columbus (and maybe Nashville). So happy to see the brand grow!

Edit to add: really wish they’d bring back Plum Sake Sorbet as a limited flavor again
