I went to Maudis and wasn’t crazy about it. Margaritas weren’t that great either. Maybe they were having an off day. Chuys has shot straight downhill. Margaritas barely have tequila and soooo sweet. They used to be decent.

Chuy’s quality has definitely waned, but we went there when were looking for something a little different than your usual Tex-Mex. It’s been a little while since I’ve been to Maudie’s, but last time it was just average Tex-Mex. Maybe I’ll give them another shot.

One Google review reads: “If you are into Mexican cantinas that make you fear for your dear life, this is the place for you. … Inside is full of shady people, with women dressed in way too tight clothes getting paid to drink with guys, they only accept cash for the purchases and the ladies bathrooms are a mess. … This is a dark and scary place.” One of these nights …
