I know I’m supposed to let it cool completely before cutting it open, but I couldn’t resist some fresh, warm, buttered bread!

How can you resist cutting it early when it smells so good? Also, warm bread with melty butter is the perfect snack.

That warm chewy slice with melted butter is food perfection.

Well you know it takes a little while for bread to get soggy when you cut it open. So clearly it isn’t a big deal as long as you eat the whole thing in one sitting.

Warm bread and good butter is god tier.

I never let it cool… it’s impossible for me to not have maybe up to three slices with butter

I always cut into it while it’s still warm and add LOTS of butter.

I did the same thing with my very first loaf of sandwich white bread. It was glorious to behold and smelled wonderful! Then I sliced that warm bread and watched it deflate like a balloon. My spirits deflated along with my bread. I consoled myself by eating the crust with butter. And, if I do say so myself, my bread crust was delicious. 😂😂😂

I believe this is why so many recipes make two loaves. One is for eating warm so you can let the other one cool completely.
That’s how it works in my house, anyway.

I rarely bake a loaf of bread that doesn’t get the butt cut off and eaten with butter. It’s one of the pure joys in life!
