Went to review the new Bottega. One of the owners owns Merry Monarch Creamery so I was excited to check it out. It’s located in Mueller and they have free street parking. The actual location is pretty small and you walk up to order at the window and then walk in to eat at the counter inside.
I ordered the affogato with persian honey comb for 8 and a casero cheese board for 15. The affogato was really delicious and paired very well with the persian honey comb (you can choose which scoop of icecream). The cardamom came through with the coffee and honestly it was pretty stellar. My only confusion was I didn’t see the affogato on the menu and had to ask for it. I saw it on instagram before I went but noticed it wasn’t on the menu. The cheeseboard was good, there was 3 different cheeses and it was served with sourdough project crackers. I think my only critique was i wish there was some sort of jam or condiment that came with it. I’ve had a similar cheeseboard in town for 30 bucks with ritz crackers in town so I don’t think 15 is too bad. As i was leaving i mentioned to the worker (later found out it was another owner) that I wanted to try their pastries and he said they had muffins and croissants available. Both of which were not on the menu.
I got the blue berry muffin for 4 dollars togo and I think it’s the best blue berry muffin i’ve ever eaten! I’m not a big muffin person but this muffin was soft, filled with delicious blue berries and the white chocolate was such a nice touch. I think it’s a great spot to check out but i wish the menu and what was offered was more obvious. I told the owner though and I think the menu will be updated soon! Walking out i noticed a black board on the side of the building with more food options that were available. I wished i noticed it before because I wanted to try more food items. It’s more like a small spot for hanging out and having small bites. They are still figuring things out and updating their menus. I hear they’ll add wine and beer soon and more pastries!

Is your hand okay?
It’s definitely worth a visit
Can I just say I always know which posts are yours because you clearly list each item you get with PRICES. It’s so appreciated!
Just have to say, your nails are *chefs kiss*.
Wow, you spent 28 dollars on yourself over there in the middle of a week day? What do you do for work? I want your job.
That cheese menu item gave me PTSD. It’s the exact same as Codependent.
Same owners?
Im not into coffee culture and I legit thought that was a mug of mashed potatoes and gravy. Not a bad way to start the day.
Aren’t you friends with one of the owners?
Is this in the space that used to be Casero? That was at 2100 Robert Browning.
I love how unusual the ice cream flavors are. It’s driving me crazy that they misspelled “orange” and “grand marnier” though!
Nice I still need to check it out
