Hi from Switzerland. I was so happy to finally try the famous rice cakes, I even managed to find a premade sauce that shouldn’t burn me alive….but: I didn’t notice that there is no translation at all (normally on the imprtsticker) beside the note: don’t defrost. Well as I was ill these week, the cakes were living in the fridge for a week now. Do I throw them? Do I(next time) throw them from the freezer directly into boiling water? Thank you so much for any advice. I am really eager to try some cuisine of yours (beside the one time korean bbq in LA) , but seems I have to book a trip to do so.

Will be fine in terms of safety but the texture may be a bit off
if they’re still in date they should be fine to eat, in my experience pre thawed makes them extra chewy though
I have a dessert idea for these that I want to try.
You can use Google lens for translating things! It’s not perfect but it gets the job done 🙂
Use Papago
Use google translate (the app for a phone) to take a photo and instantly translate the instructions.
You’ll be fine.
Hope you are feeling better & can enjoy these!
Ok one of the lines says how to store, and it says refrigerate from 0-10 celsius so I don’t really know why it says don’t defrost? Looks like it was meant to be kept refrigerated.
