Update to the soup, I made a grilled cheese to go with it (not frugal though)
Recipe:
Thick sliced Briosche Bread (I had natures own), Velveta cheese slice, one slice cheddar cheese (store brand), butter.
Yes, I fried it in the same pan I fried the kielbasa in.

Cooking directions for a perfect sandwich using these ingredients: (I didn’t have room temp butter for spreading) I lightly toast the bread first (I have a toaster oven) and then add the cheese slices, cook another five minutes (no butter yet!).
Once you see cheese start melting pull it out.
In a frying pan melt two teaspoons of butter. Once it’s melted, drop in the sandwich and cook for 30 seconds on each side. Medium to medium-high heat.
I have briosche bread because I buy it once a month or every two & freeze it (have a deep freezer), and use it sparingly for a fancy sandwich here and there, be it toasted or not! It makes a relativlely cheap meal feel luxurious and fancy, and two dollars more then a basic white loaf.
And please disregard the ground dry herb in the background that is for a different recipe I’ll share another day!
God Bless friends!🙏
To be extra safe, and for superior flavor, I’d say even try three or four if your a fan of butter or are frying it traditionally (buttering both sides of bread). (I am not a doctor or nutritionist giving food advice lol).
Edit:
To be frugal you can easily use plain old yelllow cheese of your choosing, margarin, white bread, and really be frugal. I would not recommend this all the time lol.
