  1. Did you rinse the kraut before adding it? Think I would have added some color to the Brats before putting them into the pot. Oh, by the way, I sat through a 5 minute ad before watching your 4 minute video, what do I get?

  2. Yayyy, Chef Kait is back! That recipe was very simple but hey, I've never had bratwurst poached in beer before, so this peaked my curiosity! How did it taste without the mustard? The fun thing about cooking is that, you can fool around with many diff spices & marinades or dry rubs, just to see how better a cook you can become! My fave cooking video by you is the pork belly show! I wouldn't even need a bowl or spoon, I would've just put your entire slow cooker into my face! #NomNomNom

  3. Ha, the thumbnail for the video looked like an egg yolk, I see now it's mustard 😉 I like super simple. I just recently saw a recipe for brats that looked tasty using beer, red bell peppers, onions and honey mustard. Do you ever eat kimchi?

  7. yes like a few others said brown the brats before putting them in the slow cooker will change the flavor real nice. If you want to try something else you can use onions instead of the kraut

  8. I do Sauerkraut and Brats with a sliced Granny Smith Apple, I also brown the Brats in Broiler first.

  9. Kait, You might try peeling a couple of potatoes, cut them in quarters, and throwing them in to cook in the kraut. Some like the brauts browned first, and once in a while I'll have at least one of the brauts in a bun with the kraut right in there with it. And beer, remember the beer.

  10. Good video but you gotta drain the water from the kraut ! And add some brown sugaaaa! Also next time do a video without the apron 😜
