This is for the shrooms and swiss Beef burgers. I guess I had a misconception about these meal delivery services and that they were made to lighten the load and ease of getting healthy food.
So are these kits only for ease of making food? While not being better than mcdonalds? I am a bit confused.

You can pick healthier meals if you want, there’s definitely healthy options. They also have burgers because what’s wrong with enjoying a burger every once in a while?
Even though this is calorie dense it’s also still way healthier than mcdonald’s because you’re cooking it fresh at home and you know exactly what’s going into it. It’s not sitting under heat lamps all day.
It’s not a diet service, it’s just a meal delivery kit service. You can view the calorie counts and nutritional information of every meal before you finalize your orders. Obviously things like burgers and quesadillas will be higher in calories than other meals.
I mean this is like a ~~quarter pound~~ *third pound* burger and fries right?
Edit: Actually it looks like HF ground beef packs are 10oz, so making two burgers from that would be 5oz each which is closer to 1/3rd pound than 1/4.
I think of it as getting real, wholesome food on the table.
To make it “healthy,” I definitely look at the calories per serving and play around with portion sizes when the calories are too high. i also add side salads to supplement meals. Sometimes I leave cheese and dairy out and save them for other things. You can also use less oil, or air fry things. If you know how to cook, you can def tweak the recipes.
I can usually make 3 servings from most meals. I don’t typically choose burgers, sandwiches, and pasta heavy meals.
Cant expect a burger to be healthy lol. And it probably comes with fries. If you want healthy, go shopping and learn how to make meals with lots of vegetables
It’s probably the sauce they have you add. HF is very fond of very-salty, very-fatty sauces. Plus their ground beef is generally high in fat content, as well. And HF has you add salt at nearly every step, which adds up quuckly.
You aren’t crazy. That is more unhealthy than a Big Mac quarter-pounder with fries.
You cannot compare HF to McDondalds. Seriously?
…. you’re eating a burger and fries. When is this ever a healthy meal?
Things that taste good are heavy on the salt.
This is lower calories than a McDonald’s burger and fries of similar weight and cost. It’s a pretty big patty you end up making for yourself.
They offer plenty lower calorie meals , you can see the nutritional information and choose accordingly obviously a burger and fries will be high in calories
> while not being better than McDonald’s
??? McDonald’s is extremely processed with lots of manufacturing additives and preservatives. It’s engineered to taste as good as possible and withstand shipping worldwide. Many nutrients from the ingredients have been lost.
Hello fresh is simple whole food. It’s not a product. It’s just real food. A mushroom is a mushroom. You’re getting more nutrition from it.
