Stopped at Double Trouble to check out their bar and vegan Mexican food. It opened this summer on North Loop across the street from Workhorse Bar and the Tigress Pub. Open til midnight! 🌙
Man, the flautas ($14 for 4) really hit the spot. So delicious and loaded with lots of great toppings.
They’re filled with mashed potatoes and impossible meat. The green fresca salsa 😙.
The place is a partnership beteeen Barrett’s Coffee and the Vegan Nom taco truck.
Full bar but I had a Non-alcoholic matcha-sparkling water-lemon drink that I really liked.
Glad I checked it out. ✅

I had them for the first time yesterday as well. Sat at that same table.

For folks to whom it matters, the Vegan Nom sign is still up but the menu isn’t vegan anymore (and for me that was not obvious).
I’ll be visiting their Cesar Chavez location much more. I’m sure this really sucked for Nom after pouring so much time and money into this location and menu.
