  1. Tuna melt does not need crunch… Not all like it. Or can eat it.. can make same way no crunch.. perfect tuna melt to me is tuna with mayo and capers, tomato and processed cheese.. if make same day right, it won't look like intro pics.

  2. Beautiful sandwich, almost exactly like how I do it.
I'll try adding lemon, but will skip the potato chip idea.
I prefer it with some nice crispy Sonic tater tots on the side.
    Cheers

  3. its actually insane how consistently this guy blows my mind with his recipes, youre honestly my favorite resource when it comes to cooking and its not close, thanks for all the videos

  4. Ortiz is great, not always easy to find…I really like SafeCatch, their Wild Skipjack, which although darker, has a lot of flavor. Personally, I do prefer The Palace Diner version where the crunch comes from thick cut Iceberg lettuce, not crushed potato chips, but good vid. ✌🏽

  5. I don’t put onion in my tuna fish salad. I used to put ribbon of carrot made with the use of a veg peeler. But I now finely dice a Granny Smith apple along with lots of diced celery and it’s very good!

  6. Real canned tuna taste nothing like store bought canned commercial tuna. After a day of tuna fishing off san diego, we would stop on our way in and trade a good portion of our fresh whole tuna for cans. Its not even on the same planet as in the stores.

  7. You will never convince me to mix cheese and fish but you have blown my mind with that bread grilling technique.

  8. My hometown golf course has the best tuna bacon melt on this planet, it's funny you mention your tuna recipe was inspired by a golf course.

I think there are some real gems in those little kitchens inside a club house.

  9. I'm definitely NOT a fan of tuna (canned, jarred) but this video and recipe is SO AMAZING!🤩👏 I would definitely eat this!✅😋Thank u so much!🌟💕

  10. Substitute the Carrots for sweet corn. Use some cream with the mayo to give it a bit freshness. Don't use chips instead Use pickled sweet peper and fresh cheery tomatoes. Apart from that your good to go.

  11. I remember being a kid in the 80s my mom would make us tuna salad sandwiches for lunch during the summer. She used garlic salt and put cheese on there. Toasted white bread. Awesome memories watching the game shows with mama.

  12. Way too busy and convoluted. My cast iron skillet toasts it just fine. Mayo, black pepper, cheese and the buttered bread. MAYBE a little celery. But the carrots, the peppers, the potato chips ruin it.
    KISS.

  13. If you don't wanna go high roller on the luxury tuna jars, just make sure you grab "solid white" tuna. Even store brands have those. The one he opens is "chunk light" — that's the cat food one. Avoid.
