Greetings! We are going to have a diner classic for supper tonight which is Greek salad. To go on top you will have to have a Greek style Vinaigrette dressing. This is so simple to make and uses ingredients that you most likely have on your pantry or cabinet shelf.

Oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, and some spices make a quick dressing for that hearty Greek salad.

This is just another option for your recipe arsenal. You just don’t have to purchase dressing ready made because making it yourself is so easy and much more delicious!

If you would prefer to make a creamy Greek vinaigrette dressing, simply add a handful of crumbled Feta cheese to the jar and give it a good shake. The cheese will break down slightly and act as an emusifier, giving you a nice creamy, tangy dressing for your Greek salad.

I hope you give this a try and I hope you love it!

Happy Eating!

  1. I just made this!! Unfortunately I didn't have any onion powder but it still turned out amazing. I made it with just a simple cucumber and tomato salad. I will be making this over and over again!! Thanks Noreen! 🙂

  2. Glad to hear you liked it! Next time if you don't have any onion powder, but do have an onion, grate about a tablespoon of onion into the dressing and give it a shake! It will be amazing!

  3. How long will this last in the fridge? And, have you ever done a fat free type vinaigrette before?

  4. This will last up to a week and you cannot make vinaigrette without oil. So, no I have not made a fat free version. That would most likely involve using something that is not natural in order to achieve the proper emulsification. Fat is good for you regardless of what doctors and the media tell you. As long as you are avoiding hydrogenated fats and highly processed fats and oils derived from Genetically modified sources such as canola and soy.

  5. Hi! I made this yesterday and went to use it today and the dressing seems to have turned itself into a creamy dressing…? The spices, vinegar, etc. Had separated from the oil so I shook it up really well and has now turned creamy. Is this normal/ok to eat? The only thing I did different was the sugar, I had none so I used truvia instead. Could that have done it?

  6. Super simple and so delicious looking. Thank you for sharing this. 😊
