#shorts Hello, welcome to “Collie And The Gardener.” I love a super easy and cheap trick, and using dry grass clippings as your winter garden bed’s mulch is perfect! I save the clippings in large light weight pots away from any moisture. When they are dried out, I simply spread it over my garlic beds and other areas I want to overwinter like a blanket from the cold. When spring begins this grass will easily breakdown as organic compost feeding my mushroom compost underneath.
