Simple stuffed pepper recipe

Ingredients:
Peppers
1 cup rice
1 onion, diced
2 tomatoes, diced
2 – 2 1/2 spoons tomato paste
1/2 cup fresh parsley, 1/3 cup fresh mint,1/4 cup fresh dill
2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons five spice
1 teaspoon turmeric & cayenne
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 litre of stock or water

  1. to whom asking about what is samn : samn is margarine and usually we use animal margarine  in Libya and Tunisia, but samn is not important and to me it is too strong taste oil is enough. and usually we make it with small cubics of meat or lever or chicken and cook them on steam not boiling.

  2. Samn is simply clarified butter – butter with all the milk removed so it does not burn and is more heat stable – It IS NOT MARGARINE!

    هذا محشي دول المشرق العربي ومصر. اما ليبيا لا يمكن يكون المحشي الا باللحم الوطني. بالاضافة لطريقة الطهي المستعملة هنا مش ليبية بتاتاً.
