I’m mostly just curious, and I guess wondering if I should take my business in any particular direction?

I’m vegan and have frequented here since it opened bc I live around the block. I noticed they had put real eggs in some of their tacos a few weeks ago and was super confused. This is sad to hear 🙁 I was so excited to have the vegan nom so close by 😔 hopefully they don’t turn fully omnivorous

Sounds like someone forgot to get a good lawyer. Always get things written and signed!

I live very close to this place and I am happy about this. Vegan Nom was good but this is a neighborhood eatery and I’d much prefer a more diverse menu that has meat on it. There are so many times I’d think about going to this place and decide not to just because I do not always feel like eating vegan food… It’d be different if this was in a different location that had a ton of other nearby options but that’s not the case here. I want options beyond home slice, vegan texmex, and burgers in this spot lol.

Could be the unbearably loud and unpleasant death metal that’s playing in Double Trouble at not-death-metal hours of the day that’s deterring the vegan crowd.

good riddance honestly. vegan nom is so bad about serving items that have gluten despite the menu indicating that it’s gluten free (even after checking with staff). ime i’ve been poisoned several times by accident until i figured this out with an employee telling me the substitute meat wasn’t *actually* gf. looking forward to what is hopefully a more allergy-friendly menu

edit: LOL so apparently vegan nom has also been using eggs in their tacos? yet another ingredient that was likely poisoning me

As stated in a previous post on this place. I happen to know someone who worked at Double Trouble and they let me in on a little information. It sounds as though VM was not conducting business in a very good way, and had some very questionable interactions with some of the staff.
