Yeah this totally lived up to the hype. I’ve been lucky to have most of the great omakase in LA and the surrounding area and this is easily one of the very best around, at a lower price point than most comparable options. It’s in my top 3 with inaba and kaneyoshi. It felt approachable and refined in a way that I really only think Inaba comes close to. No course felt out of place or incomplete, and chef Daniel’s personal innovation to meld edomae tradition with Korean influence doesn’t feel baroque because of his personal talent and skill. I think it’s super hard to serve something like the Sakura Ebi with crispy rice course and pull it off in that setting. Whole experience was stellar, start to finish. Also chef Daniel and Janet are very sweet people. 10/10.
